“I write this review after , yet , another outstanding dining experience! We have been to Loconte’s many times since our first time in the late 1990’s and proves to be one of our favorite restaurants.
On this particular evening, we took out a friend for his birthday. Mario, who is one of the owners, was our server. Very ironic as he was our server the first time we dined there in 1996!! He is a great guy and was fabulous to us from the beginning to the end of the night. He started us off with a very tasty antipasto and spectacular bottle of red wine. The birthday boy, who is hard to please I might add, had the chicken margarita. He could not stop talking about how much he loved it. Our friend had the chicken, broccoli and ziti. We believe this may be the best in Boston. It is served in a white wine sauce with large amounts of freshly cooked chicken with mouth watering home made pasta. This dish has quickly become her Go To dish here.
I had the Veal/Eggplant Parm with fusilli home made pasta. I have to say that I have had this before and it is such a great meal. The pasta is so fresh and the veal and eggplant combo is really cooked to perfection. The portions are also very large as I failed to finish it. Very rare when you can get a great combo of great tasting food with a large quantity.
For desert, we had the home made tiramisu. This desert was outstanding and we would definitely order this one again!!
If you are looking for a great Italian dinner with great service at an awesome cost, this is your place. We will continue to come back as a restaurant like this is hard to come by. Enjoy!!!”

“I love this place and highly recommend it.The food is consistently incredible. There are so many fantastic dishes, but my favorite is the Chicken Brocciolitine. It’s to die for! The bread is hot and fresh and the dipping sauce is sublime. The wait staff are attentive without being bothersome and are always pleasant. My favorite tables are the ones in the window nooks; perfect for a romantic date. I hope you check it out!”

“Best Italian Food to Caress My Tongue. I recently visited Boston for a Conference and we decided to give Loconte’s a try…boy am I glad that I did. Everyone was satisfied with their meal and loved the Calamari appetizer. The best thing I tasted was the Chicken Maranga. This is the menu description, “Pieces of chicken sautéed golden brown with mushrooms tossed with Rigatoni pasta in a pink sauce then baked with mozzarella cheese.” It’s so good you will want to convert to Italianism?

“I’ve lived in the North End for over 35 years and counting and Loconte’s is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. I love the decor, the owners, the servers and best of all the food!! The wine selection is great too! My favorites appetizers are the Artichoke Orata battered, sautéed and”lemoned”perfectly. The Shrimp Calamari, you better order extra bread for this one. The sauce is incredible and addicting. My favorite entrees are Chicken Maranga (divine) and the best Chicken Broccoli Ziti in the North End. My father, (Mr doesn’t like anything) adores the Chicken Parmesan and eats the whole entree and it is huge! haha, he can’t stop eating because it’s SO good. Just like Nonna was in the kitchen. I have not had a bad meal here in all the years I have visited this place. We’ve also had many family parties here and my nieces and nephews are all grown up now and carrying on my Locontes tradition by frequenting this place often. Italian comfort food at it’s best and Locontes does it spot on.”

“Best meal I’ve ever had in the North End!!! We started with the Mussels in a red sauce. That was a first for me. So good! Then a capresse salad to die for. I had a chicken and eggplant dish that was fantastic and my friend had her favorite, a spinach lasagna. Both were huge portions we couldn’t finish, but we had to have a Tiramisu we could split. Outstanding! They also had a great wine list so we shared a bottle that I hadn’t tried and our server assured us we would love it, which of course we did. Speaking of service he was great. Very helpful and attentive. We like to eat early and it was a good decision because not too long after we were served the place filled up. I will definitely go back and often and highly recommend Lo Conte’s.”

“You must go to this restaurant and you must have whatever soup they are serving. In addition, my wife and I cannot recommend enough the penne-chicken-broccoli dish; it is truly the best taste ever. This is a must-do restaurant in Boston.”

“The food was amazing. Every part. Even the simple oil and cheese dip for the bread. The mozzarella appetizer was very fresh and delicious. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was phenomenal. There was so much lobster- they did not skimp at all! Definitely recommend.
So the service wasn’t spectacular- but hey, that’s the personality of Boston, right? . The food came out on time and was fabulous. That’s all you need to know. Now go!”

“Ladies and gentleman, please meet my new favorite Italian Restaurant! Perhaps my favorite any restaurant! My wife and I were very hungry Sunday evening and wanted to eat in the North End. When walked by this place, and my wife suggested we check out the menu. Good idea! It was rather busy, but we got seated right away. Not five minutes later, I think every table was full.First the service was just nothing short of superior. Our waiter was Isaace. Please keep him. He’s what ever waiter should aspire to be. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and just a plain ‘old nice guy. Then the food came and I could all but hear my tastabuds cheering. I got the fusilli and my goodness, I didn’t know a pasta dish could be this good. It was served nice and hot, and the portion was beyond generous. For a beverage, I had a cranberry and seltzer. Not only was it the best tasting one I’ve ever had, but it was refreshingly cold as well. The kind you get only when the juice is kept cold in the refrigerator, not simply “chilled” by adding ice to the glass. My wife had a side of asparagus, and the eggplant with pasta for her main dish. Yum is the only word to describe it. For a drink, she had a Cosmo, and this too was delish! The bread was just stunning. It was fresh, and piping hot and tasted just baked. It came with a little bowl of phenomenal grated cheese and herbs and that increased our dining pleasure a thousand fold. I can’t wait to come back here with our friends.

“Food was excellent, had the fried calamari as an appetizer and chicken saltimbocca for dinner. (Also had their Riesling, which was a very good choice!) The portions were big, no need for wanting more that’s for sure! Intimate atmosphere, and great, very friendly, personable service. Our server was Jorge, he took care of us! Highly recommend, will definitely come back here again. A +++++”

I hate to give this place a great rating because next time I come to town it may be so busy that I can’t get in. Calamari is fresh. Staff is awesome. Food is delish!”

“Absolutely delicious! Went there for lunch, had the homemade Fusilli made the old-fashioned way (with meat). The pasta was soft and creamy, and the portion was huge. Plus, the antipasto was out of this world, with delectable artichokes and a beautifully sweet dressing that had hints of black licorice. Absolutely delicious.”
